I know it has been a long time since I last updated this page and I apologize. Last Monday Arran had his 2 month check up.  He checked out just fine, things are going well for him, at least as well as things do go for him.  There was nothing new or exciting to report their except that he did get 4 shots.  All of them were vaccines however he wasn't too happy about any of it.  Then on thursday of last week he went and got his 5th set of casts put on.  The doctor said that this time when he goes in they will do his surgery.  They are going to snip his Achilles tendon to relieve the pressure and then recast him for 3 weeks.  Hopefully during that time his feet will grow because right now his feet are too small to fit into the smallest size shoes.  If they are still too small then they will cast him a little longer until they grow.  Of course our insurance doesn't cover the shoes so we are hoping that he stays in this first size shoe (000) for a while.  Then on friday of last week Arran had a hearing test done.  The test confirmed the results of the last test that was done in the NICU.  Arran has moderate hearing loss in his right ear and mild loss in his left ear.  The right side of his nose also has some problems so we were wondering if there is a structural explanation for the loss.  So he will see an ENT (the same one he saw in the NICU) on June 28 to have his ear canals checked out.  As it stands now, he will need hearing aids in both ears.  They are expensive.  He will be getting them in the next three months.  We're worried that they will be huge on his little head.  Also we are having a party for Arran, well really its for all the people who have been reading this web site and keeping him in their prayers.  Thank you all for your love and support.

Arran is 2 months today!!!  He had his 2 month checkup this morning and seems to be doing good.  He is either in the 5th percentile or slightly under the 5th percentile in all the appropriate categories i.e./ head circumference, weight and length.  He had 4 shots today, so he was a little upset about that.  He is however going well and not suffering any ill effects.  I suppose the latest update should say that everything is normal for Arran, according to Arran.  He is quietly sleeping right now and devising new schemes to get into.

Today Arran met with the orthopedic surgeon again.  He had his 4th set of casts put on.  His feet are doing a great job of correcting themselves.  The blood work saga still continues.  He was stuck again today for the test that they wanted done a week ago.  Hopefully this will be the last time they stick him for a while.  Arran will be having a party in which everyone who reads this web site is invited to attend.  Anyone who wants to come and see him may.  This is still in the planning stages and more information will be given at a later date.  Just to let everyone know, he is doing wonderfully and he is the most precious little guy.  Also, more recent pictures will be added hopefully this weekend so please check back in for that.  I also have a huge picture of him that I can attach to an e-mail if anyone wants a copy please drop me an e-mail and I'll send it to you. Its a big file and would slow the web page down if we put it on but its a great picture and its from 5/23/00 and was taken by his genetics dr and his extremely expensive digital camera. (He was nice enough to e-mail us the picture) I think that's it for this up date, like I said before hopefully we'll get you some new pictures to see soon.
