Arran's Version of the Year 2005
Arran is growing like a weed. His sister has passed him in weight but he's definitely longer than her. I say longer because Arran is still being quite obstinant with respect to standing up. He can bear his weight but his muscle tone below his abs is poor. He's become so proficient at rolling that he's earned the title of "Arran Underfoot"; especially if mommy is trying to cook in the kitchen. He is getting along well with Andrew. He is more than happy to say "Hi" by smacking him on the top of the head repeatedly. That's love. On a less than super note, Arran's nephrologist is now quite concerned about the performance of his kidneys. She's switched him from Pediasure to Nepro. A change which hasn't been too much of a bother to him but quite a pain for daddy who now has to order all of his formula online instead of picking it up at the store. He is having a few more tests done to make sure diet is working to keep is Calcium and Potassium levels in check. More chemistry, yeah. In other news he started school in August and he's loving it. He goes 1/2 day for 3 days a week. There are a few other students in his class and of course he pays more attention to them than to his teacher. We had a little scare with his liver earlier this year. His ALT and AST enzymes spiked well above 1000. Both numbers are supposed to be below 100. We went to John's Hopkins and were scheduled for a liver biapsy but God intervened and the day before his biapsy his numbers plumeted. We were very happy people. All in all 2005 was a good year for Arran.
